Job summary

Curtis Recruitment is seeking an Audit Senior Associate for a Reading-based role with a renowned accountancy firm. The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified and possess substantial UK audit experience within a UK accountancy practice, including familiarity with UK GAAP and accounting principles.

Experience in corporate audit or not-for-profit audit is advantageous. The role offers a supportive environment, potential travel to other offices, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA
• Significant auditing experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Sound knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting principles
• Willingness to travel to client sites
• Experience with corporate audit, Not-for-Profit and pensions is a plus

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for clients and anticipate client needs
• Assist planning, execution and finalisation of audits
• Produce work for team leader, manager or partner review
• Identify additional sales opportunities and assist with business development
• Suggest process improvements and prepare Audit Findings Reports
• Explain budget variances to the audit manager
• Travel to client sites as needed to support audit teams
• Coach junior team members and provide guidance
