Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CA qualified or equivalent experience.
• Experience in audit-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Carry out detailed audit fieldwork including substantive testing and analytical procedures.
• Prepare statutory financial statements using client information and accounting standards.
• Identify risks and technical issues; escalate to senior stakeholders as needed.
• Ensure audit files are complete with clear supporting documentation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and act as main point of contact during assignments.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver high-quality audit services.

A growing accountancy practice is seeking an Audit Senior to join its team in High Wycombe. Working with a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, this role offers the chance to take responsibility for audit delivery, build strong client relationships, and play an important part in supporting junior team members.

As an Audit Senior, you will work closely with managers and partners, managing key elements of audit engagements while continuing to strengthen your commercial and technical skills. • Ensuring audit files are completed accurately with clear supporting documentation

• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the audit team
• Working alongside managers and partners to deliver high-quality audit services

What we're looking for:

• ACA, ACCA, CA qualified or equivalent experience
• Previous experience working within an audit-focused roleStrong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Experience managing audit assignments and working with a range of clients
• Confidence communicating with clients and internal stakeholders
• Ability to support and guide junior colleagues
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
