Job summary

Pro Finance is partnering with a highly regarded accountancy practice looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join its growing Audit & Assurance team in Cambridge. You will lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, manage day-to-day client relationships and support the development of junior team members.

Working closely with managers and partners, you'll help deliver high-quality audit engagements while continuing to develop your technical expertise,

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, or be qualified through experience.
• Previous audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of audit and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Work across a portfolio of clients, delivering audit assignments to agreed deadlines and quality standards.
• Review audit files, working papers and financial statements.
• Build strong client relationships and take ownership of day-to-day client interactions throughout the audit process.
• Support audit planning, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients.
• Present audit findings and contribute to client meetings.
• Coach, mentor and support junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with relevant auditing and ethical standards.
• Assist with proposals and fee discussions where appropriate.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key role across a varied client portfolio, leading audit assignments, taking ownership of day-to-day client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members. Working closely with managers and partners, you'll help deliver high-quality audit engagements from planning through to completion while continuing to develop your technical expertise, client-facing skills and leadership capabilities.
