Job summary

A forward-thinking accountancy practice in Banbury is seeking an Audit Senior to run a varied portfolio of audit clients and take ownership of the work.

You will sit close to the Directors, shape how the firm approaches audit and assurance, and help bring on the junior team. Relocators will be considered. The role offers a salary of £45,000–£55,000 with flexible working and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven experience leading audit teams in practice.
• Solid grounding in audit standards and FRS 102.
• Confident with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks (Caseware or CCH a bonus).
• Strong communication, organisation and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading audits from planning through to sign-off, including more complex clients.
• Scoping assignments, setting deadlines and allocating the team's time.
• Testing internal controls and giving clients practical, commercial recommendations.
• Working directly with Directors and clients, and writing clear audit reports.
• Supervising and developing junior colleagues.
• Helping to improve the firm's audit, risk and assurance processes.
• Some accounts preparation alongside the audit work.

Audit Senior | Banbury | £45,000 – £55,000 | Permanent

A growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Senior to run a varied portfolio of audit clients and take real ownership of the work. You will sit close to the Directors, shape how the firm approaches audit and assurance, and help bring on the junior team.

This is an audit-led seat with some accounts exposure, so you will keep a broad skill set rather than being boxed into one corner. Relocators will be considered.
