PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED are seeking an Audit Senior in Fareham to lead external audits and mentor junior staff within a collaborative, forward‑thinking firm.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary of £38,000 - £45,000, private medical cover, a contributory pension and strong opportunities for progression and ongoing professional development within UK GAAP and IFRS environments.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA Qualified or Finalist.
• Experience leading external audits from planning to completion.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and ISA requirements.
• Experience with Caseware beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Leading external audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Coaching junior staff and reviewing their work.
• Preparing financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Identifying audit risks and ISA compliance.
• Building client relationships.
• Working with wider audit and advisory teams.
• Delivering assignments on time and within budget.

Your role as an Audit Senior

• Leading external audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing coaching/support.
• Preparing financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Working collaboratively with wider audit and advisory teams.
• Delivering assignments on time and within budget.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will be ACA/ACCA Qualified or a Finalist.
• Experience leading external audits from planning to completion.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and ISA requirements.
• Experience of Caseware would be beneficial but not essential.
