Job summary

A leading accountancy practice in Central London is seeking an experienced Audit Senior, ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 4 years of UK external audit experience. The candidate will lead diverse statutory audits and supervise junior staff within a supportive environment offering strong career development. Flexible working hours and hybrid arrangements are offered, providing exposure to high-quality clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in UK external audit.
• Experience within a medium-sized accountancy practice.
• Track record of leading statutory audits end-to-end.
• Proven track record of leading statutory audits end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 102A (essential).
• Exposure to FRS 101 and IFRS (preferred).
• Experience with statutory accounts preparation; corporation tax exposure beneficial.
• Experience with group audits / consolidations and knowledge of ISA 600 (preferred).
• Confident supervising, reviewing, and developing junior staff.
• Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Deliver audits on time and within budget.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Exercise professional judgement on risk, controls, governance, and performance.
• Supervise, delegate to, and review the work of junior team members.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Work closely with managers and partners, with direct partner exposure.
• Support business development and identify opportunities within existing client relationships.

Audit Senior – ACA / ACCA (Fully Qualified)

We are currently working with multiple reputable accountancy practices based in Central London and North London who are looking to hire fully qualified ACA or ACCA Audit Seniors with external audit experience only.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Senior looking to progress their career within a growing and well-structured practice environment, offering exposure to a varied client portfolio and strong partner-level support.

The Role

You will play a front-line role in delivering high-quality statutory audits, working across a diverse client base including owner-managed businesses, international groups, and large limited companies across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Delivering audits on time, within budget, and to a high standard
• Contributing to audit planning, execution, and reporting
• Exercising professional judgement on risk, controls, governance, and performance
• Supervising, delegating to, and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Providing on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Working closely with managers and partners, with direct partner exposure
• Supporting business development and identifying opportunities within existing client relationships

Requirements:
