Job summary

Pro Finance is recruiting an Audit Senior in Chelmsford to lead audits from planning through to completion, supervising junior staff and building strong relationships with clients.

You should be ACA or ACCA qualified (or near qualification), with previous audit experience in an accountancy practice, and a solid knowledge of FRS 102 and ISAs, plus excellent communication and a proactive, commercially minded approach.

Pro Finance is working with a growing and respected accountancy practice seeking an Audit Senior to join its established team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified professional, or someone nearing qualification, looking to take ownership of audits, work with a varied client portfolio, and progress their career within a firm that invests heavily in training and development.

The Role

You'll lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with clients while supporting and developing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead audits from planning through to completion
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
• Manage audit budgets and deadlines
• Review audit files prior to manager review
• Build strong client relationships
• Ensure compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business

You'll also have exposure to group audits, consolidated accounts, and a range of advisory-focused projects.

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to qualification
• Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice
