Vincere is recruiting an Audit Semi-Senior / Senior in the Leeds area. The role leads onsite audit fieldwork for owner-managed and family businesses, coordinating with Audit Managers and Partners, and delivering statutory accounts under FRS 102. It is suitable for ACA/ACCA finalists or qualified professionals with 2+ years of external audit experience.

The position offers high autonomy, flexible working patterns, and a clear pathway toward Manager level within a growing independent practice.

Qualificações

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or exam finalist) with minimum 2 years’ external audit experience in UK accountancy practice.
• Onsite leadership: 12 months’ experience leading audit assignments onsite, managing junior staff, and reviewing files prior to partner sign-off.
• Technical mastery in auditing UK owner-managed businesses and family groups under FRS 102; strong statutory accounts preparation skills.
• Excellent client and team engagement skills to build relationships with key decision-makers and mentor trainees.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; familiarity with IRIS, ProAudit, or Sage is advantageous; valid UK driving licence and car for client visits.

Responsabilidades

The Opportunity

In this pivotal role, you will take lead operational responsibility for executing onsite audit fieldwork across an enviable client base dominated by ambitious UK owner-managed businesses and family groups. Reporting directly to Audit Managers and Partners, you will oversee audit teams on location, liaise directly with client finance directors, and prepare audited financial statements under FRS 102. Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Qualifications & Experience: ACA or ACCA qualified (or exam finalist) with minimum 2 years’ external audit experience within UK accountancy practice.

• Software & Mobility: Advanced MS Excel skills required; working knowledge of IRIS, ProAudit, or Sage is highly advantageous. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for client site visits.

Package & Working Structure

• Competitive Remuneration: £36,000 – £48,000 base salary per annum (commensurate with qualification level, exam status, and audit leadership experience) plus discretionary performance bonuses.
