Job summary

Cooper Parry is offering an Audit placement within our London and Reading offices. You will support the delivery of statutory audits for a diverse client base, gain hands-on experience, and work toward your accounting qualification.

The role begins in September 2027, with assessment centres on 2 December and 17 March. Ideal candidates are studying an undergraduate degree with at least 3 A Levels (BBC) including a numerical or business-related subject, and who are curious, detail-oriented, and

Qualifications

• Currently studying an undergraduate degree, looking for a placement year as part of your 4 year programme.
• Minimum of 3 A Levels at grades BBC, including at least one numerical or business-related subject.
• We understand life can be unpredictable; we’d still love to hear from you and will support you in finding the right path.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information like invoices, bank statements, and payroll reports
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data
• Attending client year-end stocktakes (sometimes on weekends or around Christmas)
• Communicating with client finance teams to understand their systems and processes
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements using our audit software
• Working in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports
• Meeting deadlines and supporting your team to deliver high-quality work
