Job summary

Cooper Parry in the East Midlands and Birmingham is offering an Audit placement year designed to develop your technical skills while you study. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll support the delivery of statutory audits for a range of clients, gain hands-on experience, and work towards becoming a qualified accountant.

Qualifications

• Currently studying an undergraduate degree and seeking a placement year as part of a 4-year programme.
• Minimum of 3 A Levels at BBC, including at least one numerical or business-related subject.
• Willing to learn and develop in an audit environment and demonstrate curiosity about how numbers tell a story.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information such as invoices, bank statements, and payroll reports.
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Participating in year-end stocktakes and coordinating with client finance teams.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements using audit software.
• Working in small teams to perform financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work.
