Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a key leadership role in the Midlands to deliver audit and accounts services to a varied client base. You will manage a substantial client portfolio, lead audits from planning to sign-off, and work with senior leadership to drive growth.

Ideal candidates are ACA/ACCA qualified with experience at Manager/Senior Manager level and strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting. The role offers hybrid working from Birmingham and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven experience at Manager or Senior Manager level within practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sizable portfolio of audit and accounts clients across multiple sectors.
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion and final sign-off review.
• Review statutory accounts prepared under relevant accounting standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and maintain strong commercial relationships.
• Provide strategic advice and support to business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines and resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Support Partners with complex client matters and practice growth objectives.
