Job summary

AAB in Glasgow is seeking an Audit Manager to lead a portfolio of clients within External Audit. You will manage engagements, ensure quality work within budgets, and coach junior staff to develop their skills.

Working with a supportive team, you’ll communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, contribute to tenders, and help drive improvements across engagements. This permanent role offers a strong development path and a collaborative culture at AAB.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (CA/ACCA) required.
• Experience of managing a client portfolio.
• Experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues.
• Driving licence and access to a car is preferable as this role involves client offsite support.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients with proactive, high-quality service.
• Coaching team members on the job and providing feedback for development.
• Effectively communicate with clients and the team.
• Ensuring engagements are completed within agreed budgets and identifying overruns.
• Reviewing work and upholding the firm’s quality control procedures.
• Identifying technical issues and proposing solutions.
• Participating in tenders/proposals for new work as required.
• Lead initiatives as part of the management team.
