MHA Scotland in Edinburgh is seeking an ABAS Manager to lead our Accounts & Business Advisory team, guiding portfolio work and client delivery with a focus on quality and commercial insight.

You will manage teams, develop staff, and drive business development, leveraging your ACA/ACCA qualifications to advise a diverse client base across industries. This role offers clear progression within a supportive, award-winning firm.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in external accounts and general practice.
• Up to date with CPE and recent developments in accounting standards.
• Experience working with SMEs/OMBs, corporates and partnerships across industries.
• Strong MS Excel and Word skills; familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, CaseWare, and tax software.

Responsabilités

• Portfolio management: Plan, control and review client work to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Team management: Day-to-day line management, allocation of work, identifying development needs and completing staff reviews and feedback.
• Business development: Advisory and ad hoc work, identifying opportunities to offer additional services to clients, identifying new clients through networking and client referrals and coaching team members to do the same.
