Job summary

TC Alexander Sloan, part of TC Group, invites applications for an Audit Manager in our Glasgow office. The role reports to the Audit Partner and manages a portfolio of client engagements, overseeing on-site, off-site and remote teams to deliver compliant, high-quality audits.

We seek a qualified CA/ACCA/ACA with at least two years PQE, strong UK GAAP knowledge, and excellent Excel skills. Not-for-Profit sector experience and familiarity with CCH/Caseware are desirable.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA / ACCA / ACA with at least 2 years PQE.
• Experience of working in practice.
• Understanding of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Experience with FRS102 statutory requirements.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and Company Law.
• Strong Excel skills and IT proficiency.
• Not-for-Profit sector experience desirable; familiarity with CCH/Caseware.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of technical audit knowledge and awareness of emerging issues; attend training.
• Act as a key client contact with the Audit Partner; manage client progress and communications.
• Complete engagements within budgets and timescales; identify opportunities for additional billing.
• Ensure risk management and quality control procedures are followed.
• Recruit, retain and develop team; support personal development and feedback.
• Plan, oversee fieldwork and finalisation of audit engagements.
• Liaise with clients on planning, progress and conclusions; offer proactive recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance on accounts matters and audit analytics.
