Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd is recruiting an Audit Manager for a growing Accountancy Practice. The role involves leading audits from planning to completion, serving as the main client contact, and managing budgets and delivery timelines.

You will review work against FRS/IFRS, mentor junior colleagues, and drive quality control while coordinating with Directors and Senior Managers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

• ACCA or ACA qualified or equivalent.
• Experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards (FRS, IFRS).
• Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships.
• Confident leadership with ability to develop junior colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting an Audit Manager to join our Client in their expanding and well-regarded Accountancy Practice.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
• Managing audit budgets, monitoring progress and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently
• Reviewing audit work and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members
• Providing constructive feedback and supporting the progression of colleagues
• Managing client billing, time recording and resource allocation
• Identifying audit risks and implementing appropriate controls
• Liaising with Directors and Senior Managers to ensure smooth service delivery
• Supporting the wider team with administrative and ad hoc duties

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant
• Previous experience within audit and accounts in an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, including FRS and IFRS
• Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and develop junior colleagues
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of audit risk and quality control procedures
• Experience with CCH and Inflo would be beneficial, although training and support will be provided
