Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd is seeking an Audit Manager to join our growing accountancy practice in the UK. You will lead audits from planning through completion, acting as the primary client contact and supervising junior staff.

You will manage budgets and ensure high quality, compliant work while supporting the wider team with development and administrative duties. The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA or equivalent, strong audit experience, and a solid understanding of IFRS/FRS.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience leading audits and managing client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, IFRS/FRS.
• Ability to manage budgets, risk and quality controls.
• Experience with CCH and Inflo is beneficial; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Main point of contact for clients during the audit process.
• Manage budgets, track progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Review work for quality and regulatory compliance.

We are recruiting an Audit Manager to join our Client in their expanding and well-regarded Accountancy Practice.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
• Managing audit budgets, monitoring progress and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently
• Reviewing audit work and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members
• Providing constructive feedback and supporting the progression of colleagues
• Managing client billing, time recording and resource allocation
• Identifying audit risks and implementing appropriate controls
• Liaising with Directors and Senior Managers to ensure smooth service delivery
• Supporting the wider team with administrative and ad hoc duties

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant
• Previous experience within audit and accounts in an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, including FRS and IFRS
• Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and develop junior colleagues
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of audit risk and quality control procedures
• Experience with CCH and Inflo would be beneficial, although training and support will be provided
