I am pleased to collaborate with a reputable and expanding accountancy practice seeking to hire an Audit Manager to join their team on a hybrid basis at their Reading offices. The role focuses on audits for corporate clients, including international groups, listed companies, and UK-based businesses.

Duties:

• Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered within budget and on time.
• Serving as the primary contact during on-site fieldwork and managing follow-up queries.
• Managing and supervising junior staff, reviewing their work, and providing coaching and training as needed.
• Reviewing statutory accounts prepared from client management figures.
• Investigating technical issues and proposing solutions in consultation with senior leadership.
• Monitoring job progress, WIP, and billing for your portfolio.
• Identifying opportunities to introduce clients to other services offered by the firm.
• Participating in group audits and coordinating with component auditors when required.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Experienced in managing audit assignments for corporate clients and group structures.
• Capable of supervising teams and supporting the development of junior staff.
• Strong in audit risk, controls, and reporting frameworks.
