Puro Associates in Manchester is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their established firm. You will manage a portfolio of clients, build strong relationships and provide sound financial guidance while leading a skilled team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in UK accounting practice.
• ACCA or ACA qualification advantageous.
• QBE candidates considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and provide sound financial guidance.
• Prepare and review annual accounts, corporation tax computations and VAT returns.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and special assignments when required.
• Demonstrate expertise in accounting, VAT, taxation and business advisory services.

Duties undertaken by an Audit Manager:

• Managing a portfolio of clients, nurturing strong relationships, and providing sound financial guidance.
• Preparing and reviewing annual accounts, corporation tax computations, and VAT returns.
• Leading and mentoring junior team members, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Contributing to ad-hoc projects and special assignments when required.
• Demonstrate expertise in accounting, VAT, taxation, and general business advisory services aligned with our client needs.

Requirements to qualify for the Audit Manager role:

• Ideally hold 5+ years' experience working within a UK accounting practice.
• ACCA or ACA qualification would be advantageous
• QBE candidates will also be considered for this position.
• You must hold the right to fully work in the UK.
