Job summary

AJ Chambers in Kent is seeking an ACA/ACCA qualified audit professional with managerial experience to lead a varied client portfolio. You will plan, control and review work to ensure timely delivery and budget compliance, while mentoring trainees.

The role offers hybrid working (2 days from home) with flexible core hours, 25 days annual leave (+5 via buy/sell), and Employee Recognition Awards.

Qualifications

• Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with managerial experience.
• Up to date technical knowledge of Auditing and Financial Reporting standards.
• Able to generate ideas for clients and for the firm.
• Strive for improvements and efficiencies.
• Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• 100% Audit focused, handling a varied client base.
• Hold own client portfolio; plan, control and review work to meet budget and deadlines.
• Hold pre-audit meetings with clients.
• Ensure trainees receive a breadth of experience.
• Prepare time budgets for each assignment.
• Complete appraisals and sign training records for staff.
• Manage day-to-day staff queries (holidays, courses, motivation, hours).

The Role:

• 100% Audit focused, working on a varied client base
• Holding own client portfolio; planning, controlling and reviewing client work ensuring jobs are completed on time and to budget
• Hold pre-audit meetings with clients
• Ensuring trainees are allocated a variety of jobs to provide broad experience
• Prepare a time budget for each assignment
• Completing appraisals and signing off training records for allocated members of staff
• Dealing with day to day staff queries such as holidays, courses, motivation, monitoring chargeable / non-chargeable hours

You:
