Job summary

Crowe Watson Recruitment is seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Manager to own client relationships and lead a capable audit team in Manchester.

You will oversee delivery across a varied audit portfolio, review files, manage client relationships and assist partners on complex assignments while helping grow the firm’s audit practice in a dynamic regional market.

Audit Manager

£56,000 to £64,000 per annum (DOE) Permanent, full time

Manchester

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Manchester is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Manager to take ownership of client relationships and lead a capable audit team.

Manchester is one of the UK's most commercially dynamic regional cities, and the firm's audit portfolio reflects that, spanning a range of sectors and client sizes. The practice is ambitious and well regarded, with real management responsibility and a credible route to Senior Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment has a strong presence across the North West.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing audit delivery across a varied and technically interesting client portfolio


• Reviewing audit files and giving clear, constructive feedback to junior and semi senior staff


• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and managing those relationships


• Supporting partners on complex assignments and strategic client planning


• Leading and developing members of the audit team


• Contributing to business development and growing the firm's audit portfolio

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong audit background gained in practice


• At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment


• Proven experience managing a varied audit portfolio and leading a team


• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks


• Confidence to engage at senior client and partner level, commercially minded and proactive
