Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd is assisting in filling an Audit Manager role in the North Manchester area. The successful candidate will manage a diverse client portfolio, lead statutory audits, and oversee year-end accounts with a focus on technical development and team training.

You will work within an established Audit team, reporting to partners, with regular client contact and collaboration with corporate tax colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading audit engagements
• Strong communication and client-relations skills
• Ability to mentor junior staff and deliver internal training to the team
• Experience with statutory audits and financial statements under FRS standards

We're pleased to be working with one of our long standing practice clients on an Audit Manager vacancy. They are a large Audit, Accounting & Advisor firm based in North Manchester. They are continuously growing and are now looking to expand their audit function. They are looking for someone who will manage a client portfolio with responsibility for technical development within the team, working within an audit or mixed audit and accounting role, the ideal candidate is looking for long term development and progression.

Audit Manager - Responsibilities:

• Working within the Audit team, providing an excellent service to a large range of corporate clients and business owners.
• 75% of this role is working on statutory audits, with the rest of the time spent on year end accounts preparation and adhoc advisory for client projects.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements prepared in accordance with FRS101, FRS102, FRS102-1A and be able to support clients and the team with technical accounting matters.
• Working alongside other managers in the team, contribution to the effective running of the department and identifying improvements in quality and efficiency alongside identifying training needs and delivering internal training.
• Reporting to the directions and partners, delivering high quality audit and accounts files. You will be able to utilise previous experience in ensuring timely reviews of files and being a strong and effective communicator.
• Direct client contact from day one as well as working closely with corporate tax colleagues. We expect that you will develop a strong internal network across the whole firm, enabling you to deliver expertise and a join-up experience to your clients as required. Developing strong client relationships as quickly as possible will be paramount.
• Supporting the corporate finance team with current live projects.
• Responsible for realistically prepared budgets and for the invoicing of clients and ultimately the payment of services.
• Monitoring of software updates and ensuring these take place effectively.

Audit Manager - The Package:

• Salary - £50-65k
