Job summary

A leading firm of chartered accountants in Cambridge is seeking an experienced auditor to oversee a client portfolio and manage a team. The role involves providing feedback to team members, developing client relationships, and participating in business development efforts. Ideal candidates will have a professional accounting qualification and experience in a managerial role, with a focus on client engagement. Qualifications

• Must possess a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA.
• Should have experience in a manager grade role with a portfolio of clients.
• Commercial focus required for client development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee your own portfolio of clients.
• Delegate audit tasks and review completed files.
• Provide feedback to team members on performance.
• Develop relationships with existing and new clients.
• Undertake business development through networking.

Skills

Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA)

Experience in a manager grade role

Responsibilities

• Overseeing your own portfolio of clients
• Delegating audit tasks to the team and reviewing completed files ready for final review by the RI
• Providing feedback to junior and senior team members on the quality of their work and performance
• Building and further developing relationships with existing and new clients
• Undertaking business development - such as attending networking events

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification - ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA
• Experience in a manager grade role with responsibility for a portfolio of clients
• Commercial and dedicated approach to client development
• Experience of audit software (Client uses Caseware) and Microsoft packages
