Audit Manager – Top 10 Accountancy Firm | Cambridge | Hybrid

Are you a skilled Audit Manager who enjoys working for a top firm, but prefer not to commute into London?

This is a rare chance to leave behind the Tube commute in favour of a more scenic Cambridge lifestyle – punting optional

Our client, a Top 10 accountancy practice is continuing its growth across the East of England and is now looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join its Cambridge office.

The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Directors, leading complex audit engagements, mentoring future leaders, and helping drive business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and direct all aspects of audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio – from growing SMEs and owner-managed businesses to larger, listed firms with international operations.
• Oversee resource planning, staff development, and performance management within the team.
• Play a key role in practice management and regional growth, including involvement in business development and client relationship management.
• Work closely with internal teams on technical and risk-related matters.
• Champion quality audit delivery that adds value to clients and stakeholders.

What They’re Looking For:
• ACA/ICAS qualified (or overseas equivalent)
• Significant experience delivering audit services
• Deep understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and international auditing standards
• Proven people management and mentoring experience
• A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and win new business
