Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking an Audit Manager to join its client on a hybrid basis in the Southwest region. You will lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio, guiding teams and supporting high-quality service delivery.

You must be ACA/ACCA/CA qualified with post-qualification experience, with strong technical knowledge and a proactive, client-focused approach. Expect growth and clear progression in a collaborative environment.

• Up-to-date technical knowledge in UK GAAP and IFRS is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients with turnovers from £1m to £100m across sectors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and advise on technical and commercial matters.
• Own all aspects of service delivery including remuneration planning and group structures.
• Support clients through corporate transactions such as acquisitions and fundraising.
• Contribute to business development by nurturing existing relationships and pursuing new opportunities.

Your role as an Audit Manager:

• You will manage a portfolio of audit clients with turnovers ranging from £1m to £100m across a wide range of client sectors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser on technical and commercial matters.
• Take ownership of all aspects of service delivery, including remuneration planning and corporate group structures.
• Support clients through corporate transactions (e.g., acquisitions, disposals, fundraising).
• Contribute to business development activity by managing existing relationships and targeting new audit and non-audit opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed:

• You must be ACA / ACCA / CA Qualified with post qualification experience
• Up-to-date technical knowledge, including UK GAAP, IFRSs, ISAs, and Companies Act legislation.
• Confident in business development and client engagement.
• A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
