We're BDO. An accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today's changing world.
We work with the companies that are Britain's economic engine - ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high‑growth businesses that fuel the economy - and directly advise the owners and management teams leading them.
We'll broaden your horizons
Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and critical to our success. It supports our ability to attract, develop and retain talented people who take pride in their work and successfully deliver for our business. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by supporting our people to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their work, helping them reach their personal and professional potential.
Effective L&D requires specialist resources who partner with the Audit Stream to identify training needs and respond appropriately. It involves careful planning, project management, a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, and an understanding of regulatory requirements. We also focus on the latest innovation, tools, and technology to support the development of tailored, relevant, and timely personal and professional growth for our people.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Manager / Senior Manager or equivalent to join our Learning Development team. This role suits a talented, high-performing, and ambitious individual eager to support current curriculum delivery and shape future L&D strategy during a growth phase. The role reports to the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).

The goal is to develop impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver clear business outcomes. The team includes technical and non-technical specialists responsible for main authoring activities.
Lead authors collaborate with Business Partners and Audit Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business objectives, translate them into learning objectives, and design effective interventions using innovative methodologies. They support the Learning Implementation team with project management and facilitate programmes where appropriate.
The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of programmes, support broader team activities including content reviews, coaching, upskilling junior members, and driving initiatives like the Learning Library and Learning Culture programmes.
Applicants should have practical audit experience, a solid understanding of financial reporting, ethics, and professional conduct. Experience in designing and developing technical learning content is essential. Formal design qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory, as proven on-the-job experience will be considered.
