Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and critical to our success. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by developing the necessary knowledge and skills, enabling personal and professional growth.

Effective L&D requires dedicated resources to identify training needs and respond appropriately. It involves careful planning, project management, a critical and commercial mindset, understanding regulatory requirements, and leveraging the latest tools and technologies for tailored, relevant, and timely development.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Manager / Senior Manager or equivalent to join our Learning Development team. The role suits a high-performing, ambitious individual eager to support current initiatives and shape future L&D strategies during a growth phase. The role reports to the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).

The Learning Development team designs and curates content for the Audit programme, aiming to create impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver business outcomes. The team includes technical and non-technical specialists responsible for authoring activities.

Lead authors collaborate with Business Partners and Audit SMEs to understand business objectives, translate them into learning objectives, and design effective interventions using innovative methodologies. They support project management and facilitate programs where appropriate.

The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of programs, review content, coach junior team members, and support broader initiatives like our Learning Library and Culture programs.

Requirements include practical audit experience, understanding of financial reporting, ethics, and professional conduct, with experience in designing technical learning content. Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential, as proven on-the-job experience will be considered.

The role is UK-based with travel to London and other locations, including residential stays for certain courses.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing impactful, innovative content aligned with business needs
  2. Reviewing team-created content for quality and consistency
  3. Building relationships with content SMEs
  4. Supporting program delivery through project management and facilitation
  5. Designing and creating technical and non-technical content
  6. Supporting team development through coaching and supervision
  7. Training facilitators and hosts
  8. Applying audit experience to relevant learning development
  9. Upskilling junior members and expanding L&D expertise
  10. Collaborating with Business Partners and Technology teams to leverage innovation
  11. Supporting strategic initiatives and advocating change

Required skills and experience:

  • Senior Manager or equivalent with experience in program development and audit-technical content
  • Experience in regulatory reporting is preferred
  • Knowledge of design thinking, innovation, and technology tools
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Team leadership, coaching, and independent working ability
  • Experience with behavioral change programs is advantageous
  • Ability to translate learning needs into objectives and content
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of business strategy and focus on quality
