Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and is critical to our success. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by developing our people's knowledge and skills, enabling them to reach their potential.

Effective L&D requires specialist resources to partner with the Audit Stream, identify training needs, and respond appropriately. It involves careful planning, project management, a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, regulatory understanding, and leveraging the latest tools and technology to create relevant, tailored development solutions.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Manager / Senior Manager or equivalent to join our Learning Development team. The role suits a high-performing, ambitious individual eager to support current initiatives and shape future L&D strategy during a growth phase. This role reports to the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).

The Learning Development team designs, curates, and creates content for our audit programmes, aiming for impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver business outcomes. The team includes technical and non-technical specialists responsible for authoring activities.

Lead authors collaborate with Business Partners and Audit SMEs to understand business objectives, translate them into learning objectives, and design effective interventions using innovative methodologies. They support project management and facilitate programmes when needed.

The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of programmes, review content, coach junior team members, and support initiatives like our Learning Library and Learning Culture programmes.

Required experience includes practical audit knowledge, understanding of financial reporting, ethics, professional conduct, and experience in designing technical learning content. Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential; relevant experience may suffice.

This role is UK-based with travel to London and other offices, including residential stays for some courses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing impactful, innovative content aligned with business outcomes
  • Reviewing content produced by team members to ensure quality and consistency
  • Building relationships with content SMEs
  • Supporting programme delivery with project management and facilitation
  • Designing, curating, or creating technical and non-technical content
  • Supporting development activities, coaching, and supervising junior members
  • Training facilitators and hosts
  • Leveraging audit experience to develop relevant learning
  • Coaching and upskilling team members
  • Collaborating with Business Partners and Technology teams to innovate learning design
  • Supporting strategic initiatives and advocating change

Required skills and experience:

  • Management experience in programme development, including technical and non-technical content, with knowledge of regulatory reporting
  • Experience in authoring and reviewing learning programmes
  • Knowledge of design thinking, innovation, and technology in learning
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach, develop, and work independently
  • Experience in behavioural change or cultural programmes (beneficial)
  • Interest in personal and professional development through high-quality learning interventions
  • Ability to translate learning needs into objectives and content
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Data analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of business strategy and focus on quality
