Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced midwife to lead clinical governance and patient safety in maternity and gynaecology, shaping audits, guidelines and quality improvement across services.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary audits, develop evidence-based guidelines, monitor compliance with standards and contribute to service improvement, working across the MDT to drive high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Teaching and mentorship qualification.
• Educated to degree level.
• Provide evidence of continuous professional development, documented within CPD portfolio.
• Evidence of a leadership/management course or equivalent.
• Master’s qualification or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Audit and Guideline Midwife will provide clinical leadership for audits, guidelines and quality improvement activities across maternity services.
• Lead and coordinate programmes of clinical audit to ensure compliance with national standards and local priorities.
• Ensure maternity and gynaecology policies and guidelines remain evidence-based and compliant with best practice.
