Job summary

RSM UK is offering a graduate programme in External Audit designed to build a strong foundation for a career in auditing. You will work with audit colleagues on risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records and controls, contributing to the accuracy of financial statements and stakeholder confidence.

You’ll begin studying towards the Chartered Accountant qualification from day one and will be supported throughout the process.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 112 UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification), 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• An existing, permanent, right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely with team members and clients.
• The ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, which enable you to build relationships and stay calm under pressure.
• A genuine interest in business and commerce together with strong organisational and time management skills.
• A willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and build trust and confidence among stakeholders.
• Start studying towards the Chartered Accountant qualification as soon as you join; you’ll take exams early on.
• Becoming a key member of the team and engage in client work quickly, initially within a larger team before taking on responsibilities.
