Job summary

W Talent, Sheffield-based Audit Director role, leads the audit and assurance service for a multi-client portfolio within a growing professional services firm. You will shape strategy, oversee key client relationships and drive delivery of high-quality audits across sectors.

The role requires ACA/ACCA qualification with substantial UK practice experience, strong leadership, and a track record in business development and managing senior client relationships.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with significant UK accountancy practice experience.
• Proven leadership experience within an audit environment.
• Strong client relationship management and team leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the audit and assurance function.
• Lead growth and development of the audit service line.
• Manage a portfolio of key audit clients across sectors.
• Maintain relationships with business owners, directors and senior stakeholders.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality audit assignments in line with standards.
• Support business development activities including tenders and proposals.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
• Mentor and develop managers, senior managers and teams.
• Drive improvements in audit quality, processes and performance.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and future growth initiatives.
