Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an entrepreneurial Audit Director to establish and lead a brand-new audit division within a respected North West practice. You will own the service line from inception, supported by an existing, profitable firm ready to transition audit opportunities into the new business.

You will sign as RI on engagements, build a team, shape methodologies, and drive growth with the leadership team. Equity, autonomy, and flexible working arrangements are offered to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Hold Audit RI status (Audit Director or Senior Manager) and authorised to sign audit reports.
• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Substantial experience delivering and managing audit engagements.
• Strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
• Ambition and capability to build and lead a growing audit service line.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial audit professional who wants to move beyond simply managing a portfolio and instead create something of their own. As the Audit Director, you will:

• Establish and lead a new audit function from inception.

Profile

We are interested in speaking with individuals who:

• Hold Audit RI status (either an Audit Director or Senior Manager) and are authorised to sign audit reports.
• Are ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Have substantial experience managing and delivering audit engagements.
• Possess strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
• Have the ambition and capability to build and lead a growing service line.
• Enjoy developing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Combine commercial thinking with strong leadership skills.
• Able to work from the Greater Manchester area.
