Armstrong Watson LLP in Glasgow is seeking an Audit & Assurance Director / Partner to lead a diverse portfolio across the North of England and Scotland. You will join a supportive partner group, expanding the audit offering and strengthening client relationships with a focus on quality and commercial insight.

This strategic, market-facing role requires an ACA/ACCA with RI status, extensive audit leadership experience, and the ability to mentor colleagues.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA qualification with RI status or ability to obtain
• Extensive experience leading complex audit engagements
• Strong knowledge of ISAs (UK & Ireland)
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset and organisational capabilities
• Confident, engaging leadership style with client relationships-building
• Commercial awareness and contribution to audit growth
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of audit engagements with high-quality delivery across sectors
• Serve as trusted advisor to business owners with insight and commercially focused guidance
• Develop the wider audit team and support progression of future leaders
• Oversee planning and prioritisation of client work with clear communication to clients and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with senior leadership to influence strategic direction
• Build and maintain a network of partners/intermediaries to raise Armstrong Watson's market profile
