Grant Thornton UK LLP in Cardiff is seeking an Audit Associate to join our Commercial service line. You’ll work as part of a focused audit team on a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality audits and supporting fieldwork, testing and documentation.

With guidance from experienced colleagues you’ll help prepare financial statements, build strong client relationships, and grow your technical knowledge while balancing exams with the support of your team and our study-friendly culture.

Formación

• Minimum: studying for a professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, ACCA or CIPFA).
• Desirable: confidence with Microsoft packages; audit software experience is a bonus.
• Curiosity about clients and how their businesses work.
• Good organisation and time management between client work and study.
• Working understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102 or keen to learn it.

Responsabilidades

• Work as part of an audit team on a varied portfolio of clients, supporting the delivery of quality audits.
• Carry out audit fieldwork, including testing, documenting your work and preparing working papers to a high standard.
• Help prepare and review aspects of financial statements, with guidance from more experienced colleagues.
• Build strong working relationships with your team and with client contacts.
• Learn from your seniors and take on more responsibility as your confidence grows.
• Balance your day job with your exam studies, with the support of your team.
