Job summary

Ballards LLP in Worcester is seeking an Audit Associate – Part Qualified to join our growing Audit team. You will support external audit engagements for UK clients, contribute to planning, fieldwork and completion, and develop your technical expertise while progressing towards your professional qualification.

You will work alongside experienced Seniors and Managers, manage your workload to meet deadlines, build client relationships and participate in stock takes and audit testing.

Qualifications

• Working towards ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Previous experience assisting with external audits in UK practice.
• Understanding of audit processes and statutory audit.
• Experience communicating with clients and colleagues.
• Interest in building a long-term audit career.

Responsibilities

• Support statutory audit assignments from planning through fieldwork and completion.
• Carry out audit testing, document findings and prepare working papers.
• Identify audit risks and obtain evidence, raise findings with seniors.
• Attend client sites for fieldwork and stocktakes.
• Assist Seniors/Managers with timely delivery of engagements and documentation.
• Liaise with clients to request information and maintain relationships.
• Review financial information and disclosures as part of audits.
• Manage workload and deadlines with confidentiality.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support trainees.
• Pursue professional study and continuous improvement.
