Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking an Audit Associate in Bournemouth to join a respected practice. You’ll work with a diverse client portfolio, from owner-managed businesses to larger organisations, gaining broad exposure and developing technical expertise.

The role offers a collaborative team culture and progression opportunities. Ideal candidates are ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with UK practice experience, strong organisational skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA qualification or finalist status with experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for client work.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP; IFRS exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality audit and assurance assignments from planning to completion.
  • Build strong client relationships and understand client businesses to identify risks.
  • Manage multiple audits, meeting deadlines, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Support and mentor junior team members while pursuing own professional growth.
  • Provide proactive, client-focused service to strengthen long-term relationships.

What will the Audit Associate role involve?
  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance assignments from planning through to completion, gaining exposure to a varied client portfolio
  • Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their businesses, identifying risks, and assisting with effective audit planning
  • Managing multiple audit assignments while ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and compliance requirements are consistently met
  • Assisting with the review and development of junior team members while continuing your own professional growth within a supportive environment
  • Providing a proactive and client-focused service that adds real value and helps strengthen long-term client relationships
Suitable Candidate for the Audit Associate vacancy:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or finalist with previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and exposure to IFRS would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence when working directly with clients
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who is passionate about developing their career within audit
