ACCA Careers in Preston is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of audit assignments within a growing regional practice. You will supervise fieldwork, review files and build strong client relationships to deliver high‑quality assurance services.

The ideal candidate will hold ACA or ACCA (or be a finalist) with proven audit experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and a proactive drive to progress within a supportive, hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or be finalist level with relevant experience).
• Strong background within audit gained in an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience leading audits and supervising junior staff.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments for a varied client portfolio.
• Managing fieldwork and reviewing audit files.
• Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships.
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Assisting with audit planning, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Identifying opportunities to add value and improve client service.
• Supporting Managers and Partners with business development initiatives where appropriate.
