Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager for its Newbury team. This is ideal for an experienced Audit Senior ready to step into an Assistant Manager role or an existing Assistant Manager seeking a clear route to Audit Manager.

You will join an established audit team and help manage audits, supervise juniors and support the management team. Key duties include planning audits from start to finish, reviewing work, managing budgets and deadlines, and building strong

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong audit background.
• Current level at Assistant Manager or Senior ready for progression.
• Confident in managing audit assignments and supervising juniors.
• Strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Organised with ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit assignments from start to finish.
• Lead audits across a varied client portfolio.
• Review audit work to ensure high-quality files.
• Supervise and support Audit Seniors and trainees.
• Collaborate closely with Managers and Partners.
• Review financial statements and identify technical issues.
• Build strong client relationships.
• Assist with development and training of junior staff.
• Manage budgets, deadlines and workflow.
• Support the wider audit team on technical and client matters.
