Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment partners with a well-established accountancy practice in Newbury to appoint an experienced Audit Manager. You will manage a diverse portfolio of audit clients, lead assignments from planning through to completion, and mentor junior staff within a collaborative team.

The role offers progression within a supportive practice, with opportunities to develop technical expertise and strengthen client service standards at all levels.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong audit experience at Manager or senior level.
• Confident managing audits from planning through to completion.
• Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
• Strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of audit clients.
• Planning, managing and completing audit assignments.
• Reviewing audit files and financial statements.
• Ensuring assignments are delivered to a high standard and within budget.
• Supervising and mentoring Audit Seniors and Assistant Managers.
• Providing technical guidance and resolving audit issues.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Liaising with Partners and Directors on client matters.
• Managing workflow, deadlines and team resources.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and client service.
• Supporting the development and progression of junior members of the team.
• Contributing to the continued growth of the audit department.
