Job summary

The Team in Edinburgh is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to lead audits, review junior staff work, and manage a diverse client portfolio spanning technology, healthcare, construction and more. You will plan, coordinate and deliver audits within budget while developing junior team members and building client relationships.

The role offers hybrid working practices and opportunities to advance within a growing, independent accounting firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA, ICAS or equivalent.
• 3–4 years' audit experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• People management experience.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge and IT skills.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrable track record of success working within teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied client portfolio across sectors and lead audits with minimal support.
• Review junior staff work and provide constructive feedback.
• Plan and coordinate audit work within budget and deadlines.
• Draft and review audit completion reports and statutory accounts.
• Liaise with clients to understand industry and regulatory environment.
• Develop less experienced staff through on-the-job training.
