About the Role

As an Audit and Accounts Senior you will support the Corporate Accounts team in providing quality professional advice to our customers.

You will work closely with clients and be committed to providing an exceptional audit service.

This is a varied role, and responsibilities will include planning and leading audits, undertaking testing, reviewing work, and supporting and delegating to others. It is the ideal role for those looking for progression within an ever-growing team, who want to enjoy their job in a thriving and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Year-end accounts preparation for small, medium and large Limited Companies
  • Preparation of draft corporation tax computations and working closely with the tax team
  • Follow and promote awareness of the standardised processes and procedures within the department, including expectations over ownership of tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Provide support and guidance to others in order to develop their experience and knowledge
  • Provide appropriate feedback to other members of the team
  • Carry out tasks with an awareness of the task budget, raising issues to your manager at the earliest opportunity
  • Attendance and contribution to client and team meetings as required
  • Attendance at technical and core skill training sessions as required
  • Any ad hoc duties as requested by the firm

Skills / Experience / Qualifications

Skills:

Be a confident and collaborative team player with experience of coaching and leading others

Able to demonstrate outstanding customer service to clients and inspire others to do the same

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Good working knowledge of a variety of accounting software

Actively seeks to enhance expertise and knowledge

Attention to detail and ability to drive projects through, demonstrating high performance

Experience:

Have previous experience in a similar role

Holds significant experience of leading external audits managing a portfolio of clients and leading audit teams

Relevant industry and services sector audit experience

Excellent planning and organisational skills

Good sense of commercial awareness

Qualifications:

Working towards or qualified- ACCA or ACA

Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a Practice Background

Good results from GCSE’s/further study - to have shown genuine commitment to completion of studies to a high grade

  • Core hours policy (7.5 hours per day, working between 08:00 and 18:00).
