Job summary

Puro Associates in Preston are seeking a motivated Audit and Accounts Senior to join their established practice. You will prepare accounts and lead audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients, with opportunities to progress your career.

The role requires solid practice experience, proficiency in Xero, and strong organisational skills. You will work closely with managers and partners to meet deadlines and budgets while delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• 3 years practice experience essential.
• Experience with Xero.
• AAT, ACA, ACCA, or QBE professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders from trial balance.
• Audit assignments for a diverse client base, on-site at client premises.
• Plan and support audits with senior staff.
• Coordinate with managers and clients to deliver assignments.
• Monitor budgets and deadlines for each job.
• Complete work for review by managers and partners.

About the Role:

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders from trial balance, books, and records.


• Work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and subsidiaries of large groups.


• Plan and support audit assignments alongside senior members of staff


• Conduct on-site audit work at client premises.


• Collaborate closely with managers and clients to execute assignments.


• Ensure awareness of job budgets and deadlines.


• Complete assignments for manager and partner review.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• AAT, ACA, ACCA, or QBE


• 3 years practice experience essential


• Experience with Xero


• Excellent organisational abilities & great attention to detail


• Able to manage a portfolio of clients
