Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to lead and manage audit engagements for a leading independent firm based in Leatherhead. The role focuses on delivering high-quality audit services while supporting growth and development of the accounting and finance team.

You will oversee planning, risk assessment, and delivery of statutory audits, liaise with partners, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development initiatives within a collaborative, high-quality environment.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA with strong audit & assurance background.
• Extensive experience managing audit engagements in professional services.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting/auditing standards.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team with coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Regular exposure to owners/directors of clients.
• Liaise with Partners on client affairs from audit and commercial perspective.
• Provide accountancy and commercial management support to clients.
• Audit risk assessment and planning.
• Cost-effective delivery of statutory and non-statutory audits.
• Delivery of financial statements meeting statutory requirements.
• Involvement in due diligence, investigations, valuations.
• Quality control and process improvement.
• Team leadership and development of junior staff.
• Involvement in proposals for new work and business development.
