Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions in Nottingham seeks an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior. The role combines on-site client work with office collaboration, focusing on audits, accounts preparation and tax.

You will work across diverse clients, support management accounts, VAT and bookkeeping, and develop professionally within a training-focused environment with clear progression.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice (audit or mixed role).
• AAT qualified or finalist, or currently studying ACA / ACCA.
• Good understanding of audit and accounts preparation.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for client visits.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting audit assignments across a variety of sectors, both on-site and in the office
• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Assisting with business tax computations and supporting schedules
• Working as part of a team to manage a portfolio of clients and meet key deadlines
• Supporting with ad-hoc client queries throughout the year
• Assisting with management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT returns where required
• Advising clients on suitable accounting software solutions
• Contributing to the smooth running of the office and maintaining high service standards
