Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant in Lincoln with hybrid working arrangements. The role offers exposure to accounts preparation, tax work, and direct client interaction within a supportive team.

With 1–3 years in practice and ACCA/ACA progression, you’ll develop technically, supported by study assistance and clear progression opportunities while maintaining a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA.
• 1–3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of accounts preparation and basic tax principles.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients
• Supporting the production of corporate and business tax computations
• Working with senior team members to deliver work across a portfolio of clients
• Liaising with clients to gather information and respond to queries
• Assisting with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts where required
• Supporting on audit assignments if needed
• Ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard

The role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early practice experience to step into a well-rounded accounts role within a supportive team. You'll work with a varied client base, gaining exposure across accounts preparation, tax, and day-to-day client interaction.
