Job summary

A Northampton independent accountancy practice is seeking an Audit & Accounts Manager to join its team. You will manage a portfolio of owner‑managed clients, lead audits from planning through to completion, and review statutory accounts with day‑to‑day client support.

This role offers ownership, visibility with partners, and a platform to develop junior staff, with a flexible Agile policy for home working and strong progression opportunities. Salary £60,000–£70,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong background in audit within UK accountancy practice.
• Experience managing client relationships and reviewing work.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner-managed business clients.
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Review statutory accounts and support clients with day-to-day queries.
• Act as a main point of contact for clients.
• Support, mentor and review the work of junior staff.
• Work closely with partners on client delivery and development.
