Job summary

Candidate Source, an independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Bradford, is seeking an Audit & Accounts Manager to lead a diverse portfolio and drive high-quality audits and statutory accounts.

You will plan, execute, and supervise assignments, build client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while enjoying a hybrid 2-days-from-home pattern and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent with UK recognition.
• Experience in audit and accounts across sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Proactively lead and manage a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
• Plan, execute, and complete audit and accounts assignments in line with regulatory standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Review work and ensure high-quality deliverables, reporting to directors.
• Attend client and prospect client meetings and build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Work alongside the leadership team and liaising with internal departments.
• Contribute to business development and the growth of the firm.
• Assist the directors with ad hoc advisory services and special work.
• Manage work in progress and billing including agreement of fees on your portfolio of engagements.
