Audiology Admin Officer/Receptionist Audiology Department 37.5 hours per week Band 2
This post is based at Withington Community Hospital
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly Audiology team based at Withington Community Hospital. You will be responsible for providing clerical support to the Audiology team; including reception duties, answer the phone to patients, adhering to referral processes, booking of patient appointments and other general administration duties.
You must be hard working, possess good oral and written communication skills, have good computer skills and be flexible to the needs of the department. Previous clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, would be desirable. This post is varied and we therefore seek a self motivated person with good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Arrange transport for patients to attend their appointments.
- General reception duties, checking patients in for their appointments
- To provide telephone service to the departments by receiving calls to offer appropriate appointments within the identified timescale and generate letter from HIVE and the bespoke Audiology IT system called Auditbase.
- Assist senor staff to co-ordinate and schedule procedures
- Arrange for interpreters for patients as necessary.
- Ensure supply of stationery for the effective clerical running of the reception and office area.
- Responsible for opening and distributing post.
