Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Audiologist to join the Audiology Team on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role involves diagnostic audiological testing of adults, safe equipment calibration, and delivering comprehensive hearing aid services.

You will determine care plans and work with carers and families as needed. The post supports clinical audit, research and governance, with supervision of trainees and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Must have BSc in Healthcare Science Audiology or MSc in Audiological Science with clinical competency.
• Postgraduate clinical experience is preferable but not essential; newly qualified applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic audiological testing of adults.
• Ensure safe use and calibration of equipment and accurate records.
• Provide comprehensive hearing aid services and determine care plans for patients.

Full Time / Job share 56 hours per week - Fixed Term 12 Month Contract, To provide diagnostic audiological testing of adults, to be responsible for the safe use and calibration of equipment and ensuring accurate records are maintained.

To provide a comprehensive hearing aid service to adults including determining care plans for individual patients and involving carers and families as appropriate.

To take an active role in areas of clinical audit, research and clinical governance for the Audiology service and contributing to the development of evidence-based protocols.

To plan and prioritise elements of own workload, within the framework of service delivery priorities as defined by the line manager, and supervise the work of trainees/students and volunteers as required

Bolton Foundation NHS Trust Audiology department is looking to recruit an Audiologist to join our Audiology Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic audiologist to join our friendly, dedicated team.

You must be a good communicator, confident working autonomously and as an enthusiastic team-member. You must have either a BSc in Healthcare Science Audiology or MSc in Audiological Science, with clinical competency.

Postgraduate clinical experience is preferable but not essential - newly qualified graduates or those returning to practice after a career break are welcome to apply.
