Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Audiologist to join our friendly team, delivering high-quality diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services for adults.

You will perform diagnostic tests, fit and verify digital hearing aids, interpret results, and contribute to multidisciplinary care while upholding professional standards and national guidelines. The role is based on-site in the Burgh Heath area.

Qualifications

• BSc in Audiology or BAAT Parts 1 & 2 required.
• Registered with HCPC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Main duties of the job

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic audiology assessments, including both basic and advanced tests, in line with national professional standards and local protocols.
• Assess and rehabilitate adult patients referred from Primary Care or ENT, supporting individuals with hearing loss, tinnitus, and complex audiological needs.
• Conduct comprehensive audiological tests, including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and probe microphone measurements.
• Analyse and interpret diagnostic results, ensuring accurate clinical decision-making and effective patient pathways.
• Prepare clear, detailed reports summarising diagnostic findings and personalised care plans, integrating complex clinical, technical and social information--even when incomplete or conflicting.
• Fit, programme, and verify digital hearing aids, ensuring optimal benefit for patients, including ear mould modification, adjustment, and follow-up care.
• Manage ongoing hearing aid maintenance and review, supporting patients to make the most of their technology and maintain long-term hearing health.

Qualifications

Essential

• BSc in Audiology, BAAT Parts 1 & 2, or equivalent
• Registered with Academy for Healthcare Science or Health Care Professions Council

Desirable

• MSc in Audiology/Healthcare

Experience

Essential

• Significant post-graduate clinical experience in audiology, including assessment and management of tinnitus and hearing loss
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff
• Clinical audit and service development

Desirable

• Use of Auditbase patient management system

Knowledge

Essential

• Detailed knowledge of current British Society of Audiology and British Academy of Audiology practice guidance relevant to the role

Skills

Essential

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong oral and written communication skills
