Job summary

Prospero Integrated in Manchester is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to set up, operate and maintain AV equipment for live, hybrid and virtual events. You will manage cameras, video IT gear, and support streaming while liaising with clients and crews.

The role requires experience in live corporate events, strong IT skills, and proficiency with DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic ATEM. A full UK driving licence and local Manchester base are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience with live corporate events preferred.
  • Strong camera/video/IT skills required.
  • Experience with live streaming and Blackmagic ATEM is a plus.
  • Video editing software knowledge, preferably DaVinci Resolve.
  • Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote, Zoom, Teams and similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and stay calm under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Flexible, positive and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Job description

As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of AV equipment, helping to ensure events are delivered smoothly and to a high professional standard.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Setting up and operating AV equipment for live, hybrid and virtual conferences and events.
  • Operating camera, video and IT equipment.
  • Supporting live streaming and virtual event productions.
  • Working with Blackmagic ATEM systems.
  • Editing and delivering video footage to a high standard, preferably using DaVinci Resolve.
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues and event crews before and during events.
  • Preparing, testing and maintaining AV equipment.
  • Driving company vehicles to event locations.
You will ideally have:

Applicants must be based locally to the Manchester area.

Working Hours

The standard working pattern is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.

Due to the nature of the live events industry, flexibility is essential. Some evening, early morning and weekend work will be required depending on the event schedule.
